Artist Bio
“It all started with blowing bubbles in the basement.”
Hey y'all, my name is Rebecca Jaworski and this is my latest creative endeavor, Popped Art Shop. This project came to life in Saint Louis, MO in 2024. I had just moved from Madison, WI and needed to rediscover my artist self.
I found bubble art through a personal exploration in talk therapy. I challenged myself to look at the "masks" I wear in life. This revealed to me the light and dark parts of myself. When they dance together, the experience is balanced and beautiful.
The bubbles allow for endless color combinations as they flow into each other, enhancing the organic patterns. They also brought out a childlike wonder, playfulness, and overwhelming calmness in me. Bubble painting in art therapy offers emotional expression, sensory engagement, and stress relief. Oh yeah, and it's real pretty!

Bubble Recipe
Start with a straw, mason jar, acrylic paint, tap water and dish soap. The recipe is approximately 1 TBS of paint, 1 TBS of dish soap and 4-6 TBS of water. The water and mixing works best added slowly. Use the straw to mix it all together. Blow bubbles and mix, repeat until the bubbles look colorful. You will need watercolor paper, drop cloths, smock (or similar covering). Now, you're ready! Have fun!

Typically, I can be found at local maker and artisan events.The market booth will range from one six-foot table to a 10x10 booth. I will have a sampling of work including original paintings, art cards, stickers and prints. As well as the most popular item: my one of a kind decoupage earrings.
